Guide on using a Froyo handset as a Wi-Fi Hotspot
Froyo is running on a number of handsets such as the popular HTC Wildfire, HTC Desire, HTC Legend, Milestone 2and the Samsung Galaxy Europa (amongst others). Setting up the handset as a Wi-Fi hotspot allows you to use the phone as a modem using the data network recieved by the phone to allow your laptop online.
If you are on something like T-Mobile's unlimited internet deal you can effectively use this instead of having a home based internet. If you are interested, click on the link below and follow the guide.

Yay I have a use for my crappy Wildfire now!
Only got 500MB data though so I won't be doing this too often.
